Will Gundersen (Guitar and Vocals)
Born in 1965 in Itasca, IL, grew
up listening to his sisters' records from the
60's and 70's. Started playing the clarinet,
piano, at the age 10 and the alto sax at 13. He
started playing guitar at 15. Went to college at
Valparaiso University in 1983, and majored in
Electrical Engineering, moved to Virginia Beach
in 1994. In 1997 while playing with "Big
Brewster and the Blue Rocks", we opened for "The
Fabulous Thunderbirds" in Town Point Park,
Norfolk, VA, and "The Coasters" at the
Chesapeake Jubilee later that year.
Will started "Bigger Dream" in 2002.
Recorded a 7-song original CD in 2008.
Influences are Lynyrd Skynyrd, 2nd Chapter of
Acts, Jeff Beck, Pink Floyd, Yes, Ted Nugent,
Black Sabbath, Boston, Foreigner, Aerosmith,
Alan Parsons, Randy Rhoads, Van Halen, Stevie
Ray Vaughan, Eric Calpton. Will plays Jackson/Charvel
Guitars, Boss effects and Mesa Boogie
Amplification. Current influences are
contemporary Christian music such as heard on
K-LOVE.
Deborah
Gundersen (Lead Vocals and Percussion)
Born in 1961 in Quantico, VA, Deborah grew up in
Chesapeake, VA, in a musical family. Three of
her brothers are singers and musicians and one
of her sisters is a singer and formerly a DJ on
BOB FM in Norfolk, VA. Deborah is a distant
ancester of Alexander Dumas, author of the Count
of Monte Cristo. Influenced by country music,
1960’s and 1970’s music. She is a self-taught
singer and dancer. She began performing as a
singer in local bands in the 1990’s in the
Norfolk area. Performed with her brother Herman
Dumas in a Musical Tribute Band called Tributes.
Some of the highlights of this band were
performing with the Jordanaires and also
performing at the Scope in Norfolk, VA, and the
Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, VA. In the early
part of 2000 she joined her sister Brea Hawk’s
band, That Girl Band, as a back-up singer. She
was a semi-finalist on “Give Me the Mic Hampton
Roads” talent show on WSKY TV in the early
2000’s.
In 2004 she joined Bigger Dream as the Lead
Singer and am presently writing original music,
recording and performing in the Norfolk area.
